Founded in 1885 this old imbibing emporium retains much of it's historic interior. It features a long bar with globe lights and snugs along the windows with a functioning service call system. The Deer's Head is Belfast's only brewpub. The brewery, Bell's, has been named for a former brewery that was on the site. It can be seen behind glass with signs showing what is being brewed. Good food is available, along with sport on tv and there is music in the bar and upstairs.
The brewer has confirmed that all beer is served from traditional kegs under gas pressure therefore do not conform to CAMRA's definition of cask ale.
