In 1980 major internal alterations saw the rooms knocked into one and the servery moved. In 1996 a large extension was built at the rear to enlarge its drinking area. In 2014 a new room was added to the rear, with separate entrance on the car park, which serves as a function room for up to 170 guest.
Its boundary is dominated by a large wall along the line of the new road. This wall had a very large mural on it promoting Butlers brewery the pubs owners but in recent years this was sadly removed by the present owners.
Food menu is Indian cuisine and mixed grill.
Historic Interest
Dating back to 1850 where George Arnold was owner and landlord until 1898 when it was sold to Butlers brewery. It was substantially rebuilt in 1899 by Butlers Brewery and extended. The pub survived a major road widening in 1927 which saw the houses next door demolished.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
