The Borough reopened in March 2018 after a major refurbishment and an outside repaint. The once central bar has gone now replaced by one further back from the main entrance. The pub had a refurbishment ( carpets and furniture) in Autumn 2024. Located on busy corner near several bus stops and 2 minutes walk from Park Lane Metro Interchange.

Historic Interest

Was called The Vine Cottage when it opened in the 1820's. Changed to the Borough by 1871. Within Bishopwearmouth Conservation Area
