Comfortable, family owned and friendly pub with a traditional feel, in the centre of the town famed for books. A large central bar dominates, around which are two separate seating areas, each with its own log fire. The regular beer is usually supplemented by two or three guests and food is available all day in the bar or the separate dining area.
