A traditional, locally listed three storey Victorian pub from the 1870/80s. The exterior features extensive Truman's tile work, while the interior contains an intact Vitrolite ceiling from the 1930s and an impressive centre bar. A 2016 refurbishment saw the wood panelling removed with the interior walls stripped back to bare brick. Having been closed for a couple of years or so, the pub reopened in April 2025 under new independent management and a new name & logo (referencing the owner's husky!). Cask beer was also restored. From May 2025 the pub plans to offer food daily, including breakfast (opening 8am, alcohol served from 11.30am) along with live music at weekends.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
