Dating from the 18th century, this coaching inn has a stone-floor corridor running through the centre of it. It is primarily a hotel with eleven bedrooms. The building is mid-18th century Grade II* listed. It is in the Historic England list entry 1323601 as the Black Bear Hotel. There is a comfortable bar with real ales. Also other rooms serving coffee and cake, a restaurant and a function room.
