Large, welcoming pub in Cheddar village, set back from the road behind an impressive local stone exterior. Recently refurbished to a high standard, the spacious bars and dining rooms have a smart country pub atmosphere. Generous, freshly cooked, tasty meals are served throughout, and there is a pleasant garden. The outside seating area occupies the historic spot where stagecoaches once drew up to The George, the former Inn that once stood here. Accommodation is available. There is free parking, step-free access, and a disabled toilet.
