Fine example of a Wetherspoon conversion of the former Avion Cinema. Two outside drinking areas, one at the front, one at the rear. Large single bar supplying the usual range of Wetherspoon ales along with many guests. Posters from its former use adorn the walls, including many of George Formby who opened the Cinema in 1938. The Cinema closed in 1967, and the building was then used as a Bingo hall until closure in 2009, following which it remained closed until 2013 and it's conversion by the current owners.
This Pub serves 8 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
