The flagship of the All Bar One chain reopened at the end of 2016 after a three year redevelopment of the whole of the western side of Leicester Square, where only the facade of the original building had been retained. The photos show before and after, the latter being distinguished by the sequence of sculptures of a bird in flight above the lettering.
The fit-out was of high standard with open ceiling spaces, hangings illustrating the cinematographic associations of the square, wooden floors with attractively tiled areas around the bar and ceramic-topped tables, all lit by full-height windows. In front of the ground floor bar is some space for drinkers to stand, but the mezzanine bar, with its panoramic views over the square, is primarily for diners. Outside is a spacious terrace.
Beyond the wines, cocktails and softails, an extensive choice of keg draught beers, including two from Meantime, and a range of interesting bottled beers are available. Beer prices reflect the very central tourist location. The expected menu options, starting with a breakfast/brunch service, are offered.
Note that alcohol may not be served before 10am Monday to Sunday.
