Locals bar that opened in the late 1950's. Name has been changed back to Flying Boat. It's located on a busy street on the way to Seaburn sea front.

As of December 2023, real ale available. with up to three handpulls, usually local beers. Monday is Cask Club discount day with beers £2.50 a pint ( March 2024). Ask about a loyalty card which is buy 5 pints, get one free.

Meals are served daily.
