Now part of the Greene King chain, the building was originally a Georgian mansion built in 1830, pulled down in 1876 and rebuilt in its current location brick by brick. It was converted to a pub by Vaux in 1964. The venue now has a reputation for quality food, mostly served in the bar area. There are several drinking areas including the bar. Usually two out of four real ales on at any one time. The function room is licensed for weddings.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 4 regular beers.
