French Restaurant and bar which opened in autumn 2011. Of brick and flint construction, it was built on the site of a former Wesleyan chapel, the present building dates from 1871 and was originally a private dwelling until 1982 when it was much extended and became a restaurant called Villa Sonia. Later additions came in 1991 when it also became a hotel. It was sold to a local family in 2003 who ran it as the Wesleyan hotel, restaurant and bar until it was taken over by the current owners. Food is served 12-2:30 and 7-9:30 Tuesday to Saturday and 12-3 Sunday. The restaurant will do small portions for children. Hotel accommodation consists of eight rooms. Only keg Estrilla lager is sold on draught but bottled beers from Meantime and Long Man are available.
