Micropub
A 'micropub' with cask & craft beers but also gin, wine & prosecco. Opened on Sunday 4 February 2018.
The pub eschews the usual bare brick and recycled pallet décor of many new 'micro's but still has fairly utilitarian bench seating, more like a café, but the seats are well padded. Decoration is with grey painted woodwork and deep blue walls with gold detailing, including a large exploded diagram of a clock.
At the bar the pumps and taps are on the side and back walls leaving a clean bar. Five handpumps serve a range of local real ales and 10 keg taps serve 6 craft keg beers, 2 ciders and one or two taps serving prosecco - the first time we have seen sparkling wine on tap. A water dispenser is on the bar for customers to help themselves.
Nearest station, Millbrook, is 1km away, though most travellers will find Southampton Central, 1.6km, more convenient.
Although no food is served, customers are welcome to bring their own in from local take a ways.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
