One of the new breed of craft ale pubs; opened on Monday 14th December 2015. The beer range is ever-changing, with few regulars. Typically there are 3 or 4 cask ales on - the gravity stillage holds 10 firkin sized casks - and 11 'craft keg' lines. Six ciders are available, four 'bag in box' and two keg. The décor is an eclectic mix of industrial, traditional and contemporary, with wooden tables and benches providing most of the seating. Railway sleepers have been used to make the stillage, and the bank vault has been used as a cellar & beer store. Food is Mexican street food with vegetarian & gluten free options. Music is provided from two turntables and the pub has branched out with vinyl record store section.
A report October 2023 said just one cask beer; we have confirmed that this is the new arrangement. Beer supplied by Hop Back.
Historic Interest
The premises was a bank from 1905, ultimately Nat West Bank, and then a property letting agent before becoming a bar. The bank vault remains.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 0 regular beers.
