An imposing, Grade II listed, mock Tudor pub with a revolving entry door on the corner and dome in the ceiling. Very popular with students. Large Brewers' Tudor 'Improved' pub of 1925, by Hull architect Llewellyn Kitchen for Worthington & Co. Although altered, the original layout is readily apparent and some impressive features remain, including extensive panelling, the oval entrance lobby with revolving doors, the domed ceiling in the rear bar and the former smoke room (at left) where original character is most evident.
