On the site of a C17th inn of the same name, this relatively small Wetherspoons is situated in the pedestrianized 'Top of Town'. Long and narrow, the pub has a single bar, front, rear and downstairs area, with dining throughout. There is a small rear landscaped beer garden/smoking area. Up to ten real ale handpumps have varied guest ales, often from local breweries. The pub gets busy weekend evenings. Children welcome until 8.30pm.
