What a superb location for this upmarket establishment. Essentially an hotel with over 40 letting rooms. A large former manor house, extended and roof replaced by thatch over the years, it is in immaculately maintained grounds. To the side there is a patio facing a pond, overhung by weeping willows and stocked with fish and resident water hens. A more tranquil scene would be hard to find. Internally, there are many rooms but where the bar (known as Thatcher's Bar) is situated, there is plenty of room for the non-diner and place is a popular stop-off on the way home. Note: the bar may close at 10 pm dependent upon trade.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
