Although this is a Cask Marque pub and has two hand pumps, please note that the availability of real ale is inconsistent. Convenient for visitors to Salford Royal (formerly Hope) Hospital. Especially popular amongst the younger drinkers of the Weaste area.

Changed name from 'Hope' to 'Royal Sovereign' in late 2015. Note then when ordering a half pint the price may be significantly more than half of the full-pint price.
