This Pub is Closed Long Term

Situated in the Georgian quarter of the city, this street corner pub which is popular with students from the nearby university/colleges, comprises one room on two levels and has a small function room upstairs. The enterprising licensee has developed a programme of live music events for which the pub was awarded Live Music Pub of the Year by the local CAMRA Branch in 2011. Music is played regularly on most nights of the week and on alternate Sundays there is a bluegrass band from 8.30-12 and jazz from 4-7pm; full programme listings available in pub. On these occasions, the pub, which can be a haven for quiet conversation in the day, can be really buzzing with atmosphere! All food is vegan or vegetarian --no meat here. All the cask beer is unfined as well.
