Run by the Liverpool Brewing Company who also run the nearby Volunteer Canteen., the Shipwreck is a long, café-style pub, where lively conversation often prevails at the bar. The Shipwreck serves mainly local and regional independent beers. The pub is a popular live music venue with local musicians and bands Thursday through to Sunday evenings. Wednesday is Poker night. Can get very crowded when live bands are playing.
