Large, much renovated, pub located at the root of Horsenden Hill now with a single bar. The building dates from the 1930s when it was a Benskins house but the original Ballot Box stood at the other side of the hill near to the canal since at least 1726. It was so named because bargees used to cast their votes there in 19th century elections. Now very much a food oriented pub under the Hungry Horse Brand. Although not listed as real by CAMRA, Lilley's Ciders may be available from boxes in the fridge. The handpumps are not in use despite advertising the cider or bottled beers in the fridge.
