Former Home Ales tap house, opposite the former brewery. Now part of the Eating Inn franchise following an extensive refurbishment in February 2018 and situated next to Premier Inn Nottingham North. A separate bar area next to the side entrance allows food, but separate dining areas are provided with several levels.
The pubs opens for breakfasts at 6.30am during the week and at 8.00am at weekends.
Historic Interest
In the 1823 Alehouse Recognizances for the Broxtowe Hundred, the Old Spot was under victualler Peter Bramley (County Archives C/QD/LV/4/3/7).
In 1855, the Old Spot was a fully licensed establishment under W. Bramley and in 1876 the publican was Henry Ellis (Post Office Directories).
The historic name of some 200 years was unecessarily changed by Greene King to Cooper's Brook following a 2018 refurbishment, presumably in reference to the Day Brook running past the old Home Brewery.
[Gedling Borough Council; Daybrook Ward / Nottinghamshire County Council; Arnold South Division / Gedling Parliamentary Constituency].
This Pub serves no changing beers (normally from GK range) and 3 regular beers.
