Following a dormant period, the hotel which stands in the shadow of Tredegar's famous clock, reopened under local ownership in October 2019 after a major investment. The result has brought about a transformation into a stylish up market hotel, restaurant and bars. An interesting link to its former self is the re-use of the old floorboards to provide table tops as well as other uses in the building. The comfortably furnished lounge bar at ground level gives access to a cosy restaurant. Upstairs is function room giving rear views over Tredegar while below ground is a sports bar with indoor games.
