A modern recreation of a Scottish city tenement bar. The single room, with windows front and back, is divided by a horseshoe bar with a dark-wood gantry adorned with decorative wooden casks. The walls support a fine range of old photos, advertisements and historic brewery and distillery mirrors. Sport is screened on multiple TVs with the sound normally low. The real ales are from UK-wide independent breweries. Folk music sessions are held every Sunday evening. Children are not admitted.
Restoration
Re-creation of a traditional Scottish bar that opened in 2010 at the base of a tenement building. The single room, with windows front and back, has a horseshoe-shaped bar and an impressive dark wood gantry. The high ceiling has a good cornice. Lots of historic brewery and distillery mirrors, framed advertisements and old photos. Also has a small room in the building next door.
