Created from the old County School in the mid 80s and originally going to be called The Victoria Inn. This pub was rescued from the clutches of Green King and extensively refurbished including the toilets with the addition of a disabled facility. The pub is now very much in the "Gastro-Pub" style with tea-light candles on the tables and not a beer mat in sight, food definitely "upmarket". Large outdoor seating area is popular on fine days. Restaurant and function room well used by local groups and societies, the bar area is popular too despite the emphasis on food. Guest beers change monthly and can be from large regional brewers or Tom Woods.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
