Historic traditional community pub with outdoor drinking areas and large family friendly garden. Dogs welcome. Homemade cooked food available (from Mid September 2026). Weekly jamming sessions, quiz nights as well as regular live music and local charity events. Accommodation available. Usually three cask beers headed by Draught Bass (permanent) plus two rotating beers from regional independent brewers. 10p discount on cask beer for CAMRA members.

This pub is not accessible to wheelchair users. The car park entrance has a 3cm door step that would require assistance for a wheelchair user to get over, but this door enters a corridor that has a very narrow door into the dining area. The front entrance also has a 3cm door step, and leads to two large steps to get up to the bar area, and two more large steps to get down to the dining area. The corridor from the dining area to the toilets has a very narrow doorway, and there is no disabled toilet.
