Taken over in May 2015 by owners of the Grange, Beddington Park, closed in July that year but now reopened as a restaurant and lounge after spectacular internal refurbishment. A massive sports TV screen complements the tall keg fonts dispensing global lagers and stout.
Until the take over, it had still been trading despite Butcher & Barrel pubco going into administration in February 2013. A sprawling former M&B 'Ember Inns' Edwardian pub, it had been refurbished and reopened in June 2011. Situated in the middle of the common the pub has a large garden. Latterly the only ale available was Doom Bar and bar staff said that sadly they were no longer able to provide cask ales as the pub had been too quiet and that they would be unable to provide them until business picked up. A vicious circle, alas. Previously Ravensbury Arms.
