Formerly a spacious, heavily food-orientated boutique hotel but, after closing suddenly in late 2023, re-opened with a complete change of tack, focused on sports TV, darts and pool. This failed completely and it is now under new hands and self-described as a "gloriously dark, brooding, cosy, antique drenched throwback to the golden era of the pub." Cask ales - "not from this area" - are available. More reports please!
