It's hard to believe that it was a coaching in in the 1740s called the Griffin Inn, then the Manor Wine Bar 1984-96, then a huge Irish style bar (named after an owner -Joseph Francis Boland), behind newsagents. Popular with punters at the nearby betting shop. In 2011 moves were made to rename the place the Free Charles Bronson Bar with examples of the Wakefield Gaol prisoner's artwork on the walls. Hours shown are believed to encompass those during which bar is open.
