Homely, traditional local built in the late 1800s offering a warm welcome, it has retained its character and friendly atmosphere. It sits on a hairpin bend by the war memorial and famous mirror, with views over the Dee Estuary and close to the Wirral Way path. There is live music on the last Saturday of the month. Historic Interest
Built in 1870 and later acquired by Birkenhead Brewery, selling Whitbread Special Cask Bitter by handpump in 1980 and Bass Bitter, Mild and Draught Bass in 1990.
