Beautifully refurbished to create a modern style but still retaining some aspects of the original multi-room layout. The window seats afford a view of the stone cottages of the lovely village of Egerton. The pub has an emphasis on food but there is still a comfortable and lively bar area which is popular with local drinkers. Up to six well kept beers are usually from north west breweries including Bank Top. The pub is an ideal finishing point after a walk on the West Pennine Moors or the nearby Nature Reserve.
