Shambles, which signifies butchers stall/slaughter house, was established in 1983 and is one of the only independent, family run Italian restaurants in the Borough of Richmond. The premises is set in a Grade 2 listed, 17th century building which was used as a butchers shop for 250 years. Live piano music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The bar can be used without having to eat. Closed on Mondays. Completely refurbished in 2019, they now have a larger selection of beers including some craft keg on draught (Twickenham Pale), as well as gins and cocktails. On Sunday, during May, June and July they are open till 9pm.
