The Poynton Hickory Smokehouse (formerly the Vernon Arms) opened on July 26 2019. This Southern USA themed restaurant has a dedicated bar area, so although food led, you can still call in for a beer, although cask beer is no longer sold.

The outlet is part of a chain of 10 such venues across Cheshire and North Wales which is now part of the Greene King group.
