This characterful micropub opened in Oct 2017 in the ground floor of what was a local club in the town centre. The main bar is in the back room with a good-sized comfortable room at the front overlooking the street; both decorated with much pub memorabilia and signage. There is a changing range of up to four beers, with two on handpump and one or two on gravity, usually from local West Country breweries: often local brewery Kettlesmith. May be closed Sunday to Wednesday. Usually a quiz on the last Thursday of each month.

Conversion

This characterful micropub is on the ground floor of an old stone building and was formerly a club. It is attractively decorated using local materials and with some old features preserved, such as a massive stone fireplace. Taken with the partitioned interior, the effect is of a historic interior which is little changed. The main bar is at the back and the room at the front overlooks the town centre street. Furniture is simple tables, chairs or stools and an impressive settle. It displays a vast amount of breweriana and bric-a-brac, which give the place a lovely feel as if it had been a pub for decades, despite opening in 2017.
