Small hotel in a Clyde coast town that still clings to fishing and tourist trades. The traditional public bar attracts local trade as well as fishing, cycling and walking groups. The world-renowned Turnberry golf course is five miles away and the hotel is a good stopping off point for travellers to and from Irish ferries. Used to sell real ale, but has not had any available in 2013, and does not appear to be interested in selling it any more. Buses pass along the main road nearby.
