About the Weekend

CAMRA’s Members’ Weekend, AGM & Conference is held annually in April and is open to all CAMRA members.  Not only is it a chance to discuss motions at Conference, it also gives members the opportunity to socialise in the onsite bar, attend information sessions and explore the beer scene of different cities around the UK.

Campaigner of the Year

2023 Winner: Helen Anne Smith

Helen’s nomination spoke of their long list of achievements. Their passion for building more diverse and inclusive spaces, making drinks education accessible, and empowering the whole industry was evident in their nomination, and the judging panel was impressed by their dedication and the sheer amount of work they had undertaken.

In response to the outpouring of stories about misogyny, racism, and mistreatment of workers within the beer and hospitality industries, they used their platform to organise the Common Ground Conference, where hundreds of attendees heard from industry leading speakers about improving hospitality workers’ rights.

Nominate Now!

Know someone who has gone above and beyond to champion beer, cider, pubs or clubs? Nominations for CAMRA’s Campaigner of the Year are now open for the 2024 award.

Branch Website of the Year

2023 winner: South Devon CAMRA branch

The South Devon CAMRA branch website won the Branch Website of the Year 2023. The runners up were the Aberdeen, Grampian & Northern Isles branch and the Wigan branch.

The National Branch Website of the Year competition shines a spotlight on the very best websites that give full details of local branch activity, showcase campaigning activity, follow our branding guidelines, and encourage visitors to join CAMRA and get involved. It is no coincidence that those branches with effective websites often benefit from an increased number of volunteers and campaigning success.

Branch Magazine of the Year Award

2023 Winner: Pints West (Bristol and District branch)

Pints West magazine, published by the Bristol and District branch, won the Branch Magazine of the Year award in 2023.

The runner-ups were Full Pints, from the Ayrshire & Wigtownshire branch and Mine’s a Pint, from the Reading and Mid Berkshire branch.
