Our May social is planned for Saturday 10th May, visiting the pubs and micropubs of Hucknall. We'll be meeting at 12:00 in the Station Hotel and then travelling in a clockwise direction around Hucknall. The full itinerary with suggested timings is below. I've not left any timings for the travel between pubs as they are all fairly close to each other.
Station Hotel - 12 - 1 pm Plough and Harrow - 1pm - 1:45 pm (5 minute walk from previous pub) Baker and Bear - 1:45pm - 2:30pm (3 min walk) Beer Shack - 2:30pm - 3:15pm (1 min walk) The Hideout - 3:15pm - 4pm (5 min walk) Byron's Rest - 4pm - 4:45pm (2 min walk) Pilgrim Oak - 4:45pm - 5:30pm (3 min walk)
The timings are approximate. As we did in Eastwood, i'd expect people to move on when they're ready and that way we don't inundate any venue by us all appearing at the same time.
Hucknall can be reached by train or bus from Mansfield, Sutton or KIrkby and by two buses from South Normanton - so no need for any designated drivers! The trains run approximately every 30 minutes and take between 15-20 minutes to get there. For example, the 11:45 from Mansfield calls at Sutton Parkway and Kirkby, arriving in Hucknall at 12:01. Buses are more frequent, about every 10 mins, but the journey takes longer. For example, the 9A leaves Mansfield at 10:45, Sutton at 11:00, Kirkby 11:26, arriving in Hucknall at 11:52.
