Away Day to Kendal

A trip to the beautiful town of Kendal including visiting the Lakes Brew Co's monthly brewery tap room opening.

Meet at Manchester Picadilly at 09.30 to catch the 09.50 train to Preston, connecting via Preston & Oxenholme to arrive in Kendal at 11.25.

Those wishing to spend some time in Kendal itself could catch the 08.50 direct train to Kendal which arrives at 10.27.

A later train, the 11.21 changing at Oxenholme, will arrive at 12.43 in time to meet at Lakes Brew Co.

First planned stop is Fell Bar, Kendal - the local outlet for Fell Brewery - which opens at noon.

We will then walk (~15 minutes) to Lakes Brew Co for them opening at 1pm.

Timings for remainder of the day will be flexible but we plan to visit:

The New Union, 159 Stricklandgate (Opens 3pm)

Indie Craft Beer, 32 Finkle Street (Opens 4pm)

Factory Tap,  5 Aynam Road (Opens 3pm)

If time allows, can also visit The Barrel Store, Aynam Road - Bowness Bay Brewery's Taproom.

Return Trains:

Either 19.09, direct to Manchester Piccadilly (arrives 20.58)

Or 20.03, change at Oxenholme for Piccadilly (arrives 21.25)
