16th-century hotel on the charming village marketplace. Four handpumps in a cosy bar area, with a real fire in winter, dispense three regular and a monthly changing cask ale.

With full hotel facilities, including 27 en-suite bedrooms and a restaurant, this is an ideal base to explore the tourist attractions of north Oxfordshire. Alternatively just watch the world go by from the outside seating in summer.

Breakfast is served until 11am.

Privately owned - one of three hotels, the others being in Aynho, and Dorchester-on-Thames.

Historic Interest

Formerly the King's Arms, it was likely to have originated in C16, altered mid C17 and again in the late C18/early C19.
