This Pub is Closed Long Term

Large pub close to Midsummer Common and the Grafton Shopping Centre. Sold in 2011 by Admiral Taverns and now leased to the tenants of the Portland Arms. Free of tie with up to five ever-changing real ales; East Anglian micro breweries, including local ones, predominate. Continental bottled beers also offered. The food ranges from pub classics to hot rock grills. All ales are 50p off a pint from 5 until 11 on Thirsty Thursdays. The pub is now the base of the infamous Hash House Harriers (every Monday at 7).

Sadly this pub closed on 20th February 2019 as the owner wouldn't offer the licensees a reasonable length lease.
