Two-bar pub in Hatfield town centre, with a sports-focussed public bar and a lounge (which can also be booked for private events). The pub underwent a major refurbishment in 2022, when it also reverted to its original name. The pub is not currently serving any cask beer although bottled ales are available.

Historic Interest

Having opened as the White Hart, the pub was renamed the Town Inn but reverted to its original name in 2022 following a major refurbishment.

The Charter Market Quarter has many historical links. One of the only free-standing medieval civic clock towers, the site of the First Battle of St. Albans in 1455, during the Wars of the Roses. Allegedly the Boot Inn played host to soldiers fighting in the battle. There used to be 23 pubs around the Market area!
