The Bishop Blaize closed in 2007 following purchase by new owners in 2006. Subject of repeated planning applications and appeals to turn residential, so far being resisted. Following the granting of ACV status in early 2016, the pub has been restored and was reopened in July 2016 as the Pheasant Pluckers Inn and latterly Blaze Inn Saddles
