The pub is open plan but broken up into several distinct areas. For example the area next to the bar is panelled and there are photographs of local scenes throughout the pub. Normally there are 3 cask beers on sale and real cider is occasionally sold.To the rear of the pub is a paved area with tables & chairs whilst across the car park is a garden area with 'picnic style' wooden tables. There are pleasant rural views to be had with trains on the west coast mainline visible in the distance.

Although not too far from Prestbury station, the walk is not recommended as you have to walk along several sections without footpaths and steep banks adjacent to the road.

Historic Interest

Previously called the Ash Tree. Name changed between 1998 and 2009.
