Large hotel in pleasant riverside location with large lawn river frontage and moorings for patrons. Outdoor heated pool (closed for refurbishment in 2018 and still closed for the foreseeable future as on 21 November 2021 and 17 April 2023) and children's paddling pool just adjacent to the hotel reached across the road or under the bridge. The hotel appears to date from the 1940s with a traditional feel and the lounge bar, called the 'River Bar', serving meals and ales.
