Lounge & cocktail bar.

Previously a favourite real ale haunt, this small city-centre lounge bar reopened after the pandemic, briefly with cask beer, as Malky's Bar, but has returned as Greyfriars in 2024. As well as the bar there is a small upstairs seating area. The pub takes its name from the former Greyfriars monastery, which was gutted by followers of John Knox in 1559 and subsequently demolished. Nearby attractions include a Victorian theatre, art gallery, museum and concert hall.

However, the new Greyfriars is principally operating as a cocktail bar for private functions. It is reported that Greyfriars will be open as a pub in Spring 2025, while sister pub Kirkside Bar is closed for refurbishment.
