A regular in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide and on one occasion its cover star, this one-bar, back-street local features four regulars beers from the Punch Taverns list, plus two free of tie, including regular options from microbreweries. Two real ciders are also on offer. Home-cooked food is served daily lunchtimes and evenings with roasts on Sundays. Quiz night is Wednesday. Public car park opposite, heated covered smoking area outside. Barbecues are held in the summer with occasional beer festivals.
