A traditional village pub at the heart of the community. The cosy modernised interior has a central bar with several small panelled rooms around. The pub is popular for home-cooked meals. The skittle alley doubles as a function room. Opens early for breakfasts at weekends. Rothley Station on the Great Central Railway is about 1.5km to the north.

Historic Interest

Located at the village crossroads, the pub dates from the early seventeenth century and was a coaching inn at one time. It has a prominent painted sign on the tiled roof.
