Formerly a pub with its own microbrewery, it now operates as a freehouse selling beers from local producers and cider from Charnwood. The bar is on the first floor, up steep steps from the yard. The bar is decorated with guitars and LP sleeves. Filled cobs are usually available. An attractive beer garden is at the side. The pub and garden are dog friendly.

Historic Interest

Established in 2015, the Mash & Press (formerly Anstey Ale Brewery) is located in a two-storey former bakery not far from the village centre. Originally a brewpub serving Anstey Ales from a 3-barrel plant on the ground floor. The brewery became MonsteX, and in 2023 production moved to Loughborough; but the brewery later closed. In February 2025, the pub reopened as the 'Kneaded Pint'.
