Adjacent to the 13th century Broadgate there has been an inn on this site since the 17th century, when the landlord was fined for “harbouring divers lewd and evil disposed persons, rogues, beggars and such like." Thankfully the pub is more refined now and is a quality single bar hostelry with plenty of character, straddling the old town ditch. One end of the bar has a cosy real fire and the other end is more food oriented. This was the last pub in Ludlow to brew its own beer.
No food served on Wednesdays and food service may end earlier if quiet.
Has four handpumps, three for beer and one for Lilley's cider which is not "real" as defined by CAMRA
This Pub serves no changing beers and 3 regular beers.
Cask Ale
