Situated just off the Market Square, the Blue Boar was built in 1650. Reopened in October 2025 following refurbishment, it is now a Punch Taverns managed house.

Within, there are three bar areas, the two at the front are for drinkers and the third towards the rear is given over to dining. It is comfortably furnished and the walls are adorned with pictures of Ludlow in days gone by. Background music is just that and a cosy atmosphere prevails. The food here is very popular and booking is strongly advised for those wishing to eat. A function room available for hire and a patio area at the rear complete the picture.
